Olivetti I-Jet S.p.a. and LioniX BV have entered into an agreement to combine the expertise of both companies in the area of design, development and volume production in the field of microsystems (MST/MEMS/MOEMS etc.) for OEM customers.
Under the terms of the agreement the companies collaborate together in the design, development and volume production. LioniX will transfer to Olivetti some of their technology platforms.
Dr. Roberto Della Marina, Business Development Director of Olivetti I-Jet states: “Our experience with LioniX and its expertise give Olivetti I-Jet reason to expect that this collaboration will greatly improve our visibility in the MEMS market, enhancing our ability of producing high volume, low cost Microsystems to support customers seeking development and manufacturing solutions for their MST-based products, leveraging on our fully equipped 6000 m2 clean room 6” foundry and our 25 years long experience in successfully manufacturing the ink-jet heads, one of the few killer applications in the MEMS market.”
