Lion Photonix Technologies B.V. appoints an agent for the UK

Lion Photonix Technologies - a new player in integrated optics, based in Enschede, the Netherlands, has appointed Cambridge Resolution Ltd as their representative in the UK.

Lion Photonix Technologies is a manufacturer of microsystems for OEM customers, based on integrated optics. Lion provides design, prototyping, and manufacturing of Microsystems and specializes in optical planar waveguides for telecom and sensor applications. In particular its proprietary siliconoxynitride (SiON) technology is suitable for the manufacturing of these devices. SiON is compatible with active waveguiding materials (such as ZnO) and has the advantage of generating small sized planar waveguides, so reducing component costs.

Lion also offers assembly and packaging and fiber-to-chip coupling. Its 'design for manufacturing' strategy of microsystems reduces time to market and project costs.
