Press ReleaseHorten, Norway & Enschede, The Netherlands - November 2001 SensoNor ASA and Lion Photonix Technologies BV have entered into an agreement to combine the expertise of both companies in the area of design, development and volume production in the field of micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS/MOEMS) for OEM customers. Lion Photonix mission is to provide OEM customers with high added value components and (sub) systems, based on micro system technology, for their next generation products. Lion Photonix is strongly linked to the University of Twente, which is world famous for its excellent research in the fields of MOEMS/MEMS/MST. SensoNor ASA, a founder member of the Nordic Micro Systems Manufacturing cluster, is a Norwegian public company offering foundry services on a flexible technology platform tailored to the MEMS market. The company owns and operates a fully equipped MEMS production facility and several assembly and test facilities. Under the terms of the agreement the companies will collaborate together in the design, development and volume production of micro systems.
