LioniX is located in the eastern part of the Netherlands, right between the cities of Enschede and Hengelo.

From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

There is a direct intercity train service from Schiphol Airport to Enschede and Hengelo leaving every 30 min. The journey takes about two hours. From station Enschede or Hengelo take a taxi to the University of Twente, Building 89 (Langezijds A).

Trains from elsewhere

Enschede and Hengelo have direct intercity services from Amsterdam CS, Rotterdam, the Hague and Utrecht. From Germany, you can reach Hengelo directly from Osnabruck - Hannover - Berlin, and Enschede from Dortmund and Munster. Please click here for train schedules.

Enschede is on the A1 highway from Amsterdam to Hannover/Berlin, about 160 km east of Amsterdam.

Driving eastbound on the A1:
• Take the A35 to Enschede
