project aims at the development of a novel optoelectronic biochip based on a broad-band Mach-Zehnder Interferometer for the early diagnosis of human diseases. All components of the PYTHIA biochip (light source, waveguides, photodetector) are monolithically integrated in the same Si chip, and fabricated by standard silicon technologies only.
